Computing Facilities
Computing facility at the
college will be used by
faculty, staff and students
for instructions, research
and administrative
activities and also to
communicate with each other.
College instructional
computing laboratories will
have two main areas of
responsibility:
Central Library
�The successful 21 century
library will be one that
provides space for
innovation and imagination
while also providing access
to dynamic resources &

The college library will
further its mission by
selecting, developing,
deploying and managing
resources and services that
foster learning, discovery
and innovation.
Construction Yard
A construction yard of 150
square meters will be
available in the department
where hands on workshops on
building construction
techniques will be
conducted. Such a yard gives
ample opportunity for the students to experiment with
various building materials
and building construction
technology.
Art Studio
An art studio with all the
necessary facilities will be
well established in the
department of Architecture. With the guidance of faculty
members, the students create
murals, sculptures and
paintings in and around the
department which helps to
showcase and further art in
the built environment.
Environmental Lab
A state-of-the- art
environmental lab will
facilitate the staffs and
students to study,
understand and research
various aspects leading to a
better understanding of
�environmental friendly
architecture�.
Multipurpose Hall
A large multipurpose hall of
175 Square Meters is used
for display of students work
from time to time. This hall
is also used for �critique
of architectural design�
during the course of the
semester.
Model Making Workshop
A model making workshop of
will be available for the
students to prepare models
of their design works.
Seminar Hall
An air-conditioned seminar
hall of 100 Square Meters
will be constructed to
conduct important functions and also for presentation of
guest lectures by practicing
architects and other
professionals.
Student�s Centre
A student�s centre of 105
Square Meters popularly
called as the �Coffee Club�
functions to serve coffee and snacks during the
morning �coffee break�. This
forms an important gathering
place for students. This
will include a DTP and a
communication centre.
Hostel
The students are advised to
be in boarding house for
enhancing team work.
Medical Facility
Full time medical assistance
will be provided for the
students who are sick.
Transportation
Daily trips of college buses
are available from specific
boarding point covering the
nearby places in Kanyakumari
district.
Materials Museum
The materials museum is full
of samples of various
traditional as well as
modern building materials
for display, to enable
students� to understand the
availability of new building
materials in the market as
well as the versatility of
the traditional building
materials in the modern
context.
Scholarships
The College Trust (Sigma
Educational and Charitable
Trust) will set apart fixed
amount every year to offer
scholarships to students
with high academic record,
and those with athletic or
artistic talent. Scholarship
will be also available to
students from
underrepresented groups and
those who demonstrate
financial need.
Also every year the college
will give admissions under
management quota to top
ranking students from poor
families in Kanyakumari
District. These students
will not be charged tuition
fees and hostel charges.
